Normal TSH 0.45-4.5: Why is your pharmacist concerned? Tsh of 3 is normal. Of course, we're trained to treat the person, not just the numbers so many of us will prescribe enough medication to achieve TSH of 1-2. Tsh less than 0.45 increases risk for hyperthyroidism eg palpitations, tremors, anxiety, insomnia, bone loss, etc. Further testing depends upon your symptoms.
