What Should You See On Ultrasound Of Five Week Pregnancy
Can you see anything on vaginal ultrasound at 5weeks gestation? possible to miss a embryo at 5 week gestation?
Too early: You can see a lot at 5 weeks EGA: you can definitely see a gestational sac and you would likely see a yolk sac. It would be incredibly rare to see a fetal pole (baby) at 5 weeks, so 99% you would definitely miss an embryo at 5 weeks. I'm curious: are you actually 46 years old? ...Read more
The sonogram is a test that looks at body organs with no radiation. It uses sound waves and can give us a 2 dimensional view of organs such as the kidney, liver, heart, and lungs. It can define spaces that are either solid or full of fluid. I can also guide large needles into an organ or near the spine, and can help define the area being cut open. Its a ...Read more

Can u have a possitive pregnancy test and u take an ultra sound and cant see anything even though it says I should be 8 weeks pregnant is this normal?
At times: Empty fetal sac. At times it indicates a high risk of a miscarriage. Some OBs recheck an ultrasound at 10 weeks. Good luck! Speak with your OB ...Read more
Could I have concieved four weeks ago (6 wks gestation) and still not see a gestational sac on transvaginal ultrasound? Also with a beta of 627?
Yes: If your cycles are irregular, you may be slightly off on dates. A pregnancy should be seen by 5 weeks and a beta of 1000, so I would suggest a followup transvaginal ultrasound a week after the prior one. If no pregnancy is seen at that point, then some concern would arise regarding the viability of your pregnancy. Please follow closely with your OB until the issue is cleared up. Dr. S. ...Read more
4 ultrasounds, 9 hpts and blood test are all negative, but I look five months pregnant and still have pregnancy symptoms, why?
I've had total 7 ultrasounds with my pregnancy beacuse of bleeding i had is it true its bad for the baby iam having another coming up to see gender?
Safe when done right: My understanding of ultrasounds is that when they're done properly, they are safe. Ultrasounds are not like x-rays in which radiation is used. If an ultrasound probe is left in one spot for a very extended period of time, it could potentially raise the temp of the scanned tissue, but it is unclear if that has any ill effect. Recommend you pose this good ? To the radiologist before the next u/s. ...Read more
About 6-7 weeks : Depending on the first day of your last period usually we see a pregnancy around 6-7 weeks (we see a thickening of the uterus lining first around 4 weeks, then a sac with fluid with a little dot (fetal pole) around 5 weeks. If we look with a transvaginal ultrasound we see it around 6-7 (with heartbeat). If you are not sure about dates we do a bhcg; 1500 transvaginal, 2500 abdominal ultrasound. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Can i see if im pregnant by ultra sound scan just after 10 days of having sex??? as im feeling im having many pregnancy symptoms!!
No.: At 10 days the embryo is just a tiny collection of cells beginning to implant in the uterine wall. At 2-3 weeks thickening of the endometrium might be seen on transvaginal ultrasound. Occasionally a tiny gestation sac might be seen. After 4 weeks an intrauterine gestational sac is usually seen with heartbeat expected between 5 and 7.5 weeks. For earliest pregnancy test, use a serum pregnancy test ...Read more
