Hard : Hard to tell without a clinical examination but it sounds like you might have eczema, hand dermatitis, or possibly psoriasis. I would start with only using a very gentle hydrating cleanser such as cerave hydrating cleanser and then applying cerave cream a few times per day. If that doesn't help, visit a dermatologist who can talk about prescription options/possible allergy testing. Read more about skin allergy at the link below. I hope that helps. ...Read more

What can I use for ringworm on the scalp if I don't have a doctor?

What can I use for ringworm on the scalp if I don't have a doctor?

Pharmacy creams: Ringworm is actually a fungal infection (not a worm) of the skin. You can treat it with over the counter antifungals such as Clotrimazole cream (and there are many others). Clean the area, dry it and then apply the cream several times per day. If it persists longer than about 2 weeks, you might want to see a dermatologist for alternative applications. ...Read more

talk to your doctor: You are receiving a topical medication that contains Hydrocortisone and antibiotic. Is it possible that this is not an allergic reaction. Sometimes after an allergic skin reaction you can develop increased skin pigmentation or dark patches which will improve over time. You need to discuss the diagnosis and treatment with your physician. ...Read more

My skin is peeling from under my breast and looks like a rash I wanted to know what type of ointment to put on or should I seek my doctor?

My skin is peeling from under my breast and looks like a rash I wanted to know what type of ointment to put on or should I seek my doctor?

Rash could be fungus: This could be a fungal or yeast infection in a warm, moist, area of constant skin-skin contact and irritation. Or it could be a simple heat rash or mechanical irritation. You can safely try topical lotrimin (clotrimazole) (over-the-counter), which will work great if it is fungal, and do no harm if it is not. Otherwise, if it doesn't respond to lotrimin (clotrimazole), treat this like heat or diaper rash. Good luck! dr. Tholen. ...Read more

I have ringworm on my penis and it's bright red circles , I am using lotromin, is that gonna work or do I need to go to a doctor?

See answer: Difficult to be precise without seeing the rash or location (shaft or glans, circumcised or not). Ringworm is a misnomer as does not occur or apply to rashes on the penis. Though your rash may be caused by a yeast-like fungus (Rx: antifungal), other causes include irritant or allergic contact dermatitis, or skin-type dermatitis: atopic, lichen planus, psoriatic, etc (Rx: topical steroid). See MD. ...Read more
