Ruptured cyst: I am assuming this is a ruptured ovarian cyst from an ovary(s) that were left post hysterectomy. The fluid from the cyst can irritate the peritoneum (lining of the inside body cavity) that can cause pelvic pain. Did u ask your OB: It usually goes away by 10-11 weeks because that is when the placenta takes over for the hormones, but a cyst can persist into the 2nd trimester , if it does it just needs to be followed to make sure it is getting smaller an not larger, the pain should not be getting worse because that could signal the cyst is growing or has twisted or ruptured and your OB should be following u closely. ...Read more
