Can you take glucosamine, chondroitin, hylanuric acid, prilosec, multivitamin, vitamin d, and calcium citrate together?
Is it safe to take glucosamine, chondroitin, msm, vitamin d, calcium citrate, multivitamin, l arginine, l lysine, l ornthinine, Prilosec together?
Should be fine:
I don't see any significant problems taking all of these supplements. If you have any side effects, however, it may be a challenge to know which is the culprit. Typically, side effects from these are minimal or not existent.
If you are taking the prilosec due to the others causing GI complaints, you may want to reconsider this strategy. ...Read more
Is it safe to take Prilosec, glucosamine, msm, chondroiton, chlorophyll, calcium citrate, multi vitamin, and vitamin d together and daily?
That is a big load of meds.
Some, such as Vitamin D, do not need a prescription or blood test. Over-the counter vitamin D is inexpensive and does not need a prescription. Even better it is already in your milk and you don't really need to buy Vitamin D separately.
Do you really need all the others?
Look up "NuVal" on the web and see what foods are best for you rather than meds. ...Read more
I just had a colonosopy and had 3 polyps removed. It says no aspirin or nsaid for 7 days. Can I start taking my Prilosec and multivitamin again?
I recently asked about taking a multivitamin with probiotic while taking omeprazole and domperidone, could you tell me is it better to take the multiv?
Can take both: You can take a multivitamin with omeprazole and domperidone. Omeprazole can decrease absorption of certain vitamins/minerals such as B-12 and iron. A multivitamin can help counteract those vitamin/mineral losses. A probiotic is different than a multivitamin. It helps to populate the healthy bacteria in your gut, which can help prevent constipation, diarrhea, and other illnesses. ...Read more

I want to add vitamin B12 to my daily regimen but I take Prilosec everyday for gerd. What kind of dose should I take for energy/heart health?
Vitamin B12: You can take oral vitamin B12 of 1, 000mcg daily. It's not necessarily helpful for energy or heart health, especially if you are not B12 deficient. Prilosec when used for a very long time can cause B12 deficiency. Prilosec should be taken about 30 minutes before meal, and should not be taken together with vitamin B12 as it can decrease the absorption of b12. ...Read more

Can Beaus lines be caused by any of the following? Thanks Stress/anxiety Omeprazole Hashimotos Levothyroxine Multivitamins
Or just happen: Most "stress" is actually good -- I need some "stress" to kick me into action so I can be productive and ultimately useful and fulfilled. Very often, "Beau's lines" just happen for no reason whatever. I'm glad you're managing your Hashimoto's, and I just wish everybody were as good an observer of their health as you are. ...Read more

Is it ok to start taking 5 htp 100mg for the first time. I wasn't able to find the 50 mg. I'm taking for appetite control! Can I take with prilosec?
Yes: 5-htp will help increase your serotonin which I guess is what you're after to help. 100mg is ok, can slowly increase. I'd suggest adding relora 2 x daily as well as green coffee bean extract but that must be taken at least 30 min prior to each meal to be effective. I'd try to get off the omeprazol - bad stuff long term as far as nutrient absorption. Get a digestive enzyme and probiotic instead! ...Read more
Yes for a short time: Geri-lanta (aluminum/magnesium/simethecone) is indicated for upset stomach, heartburn bloating/gas. It works on neutralizing acid in the stomach.
