Difficult.: If treated early with antiviral such as Acyclovir,famcyclovir, valacyclovir, these will shorten the viral shedding and may prevent auditory and vestibular damage. Steroids like Methylprednisolone decrease the inflammation and benzodiazepines can also help with anxiety and dizzy spells.
