Unless one is playing at a competitive level, i wouldn't recommend a weekend warrior to return to playing football after such an injury. 5 weeks post op patella fx and patella tendon rupture. Surgeon doesn't think i'll ever get full rom back, thinks most 90 degrees. Is that functional?
Bad combination : Very hard 2 get rom. At 5 wks ask if well healed so u can really push 4 rom. @ 29 with hard work with a mean pt u should get > 90. U have 2 be dedicated & committed & work very hard @ it even in ur spare time. Stationary bikes r of great help. C if they will let u come on on ur own & use the equipment.
