Dr. Jack Mutnick answered:

What do doctors suspect will cause pain in right shoulder with arm numbness and tingling?

Numb

We worry about "Thoracic Outlet Syndrome" but the person to best help is an orthopedic doctor. You might need an EMG by a neurologist as well. Start with the orthopedic doctor first. If you are displease with their plans, seek a neurologist.

Right arm numbness and left side of face numb. CAT scan was clear, blood tests were good. doc is starting me on B12 injections. Can it be MS or other?

You may need MRI

Multiple_sclerosis
CAT scan may not give a good diagnosis eval. MRI of the head with contrast will be a better option.

Very unlikely

It's an atypical presentation and the prevalence of disease in your age group is low. "Common things happen commonly" - I'd look to your shoulder for the probable cause.

Dr. Paul Hartlaub answered:

What type of doctor should i visit for arm numbness most likely the result of repetitive motion at work?

Your PCP

Numbness_
While I can't be certain, the most likely cause of numbness in your situation is that one of the nerves in your wrist, arm or neck is being irritated or pinched. This is something that your Primary Care Provider, or PCP, can help sort out and possibly treat effectively, and refer if needed. PCP's usually include family practice or internal medicine doctors, and nurse practioners.

PCP or ortho

You can see either your primary care physician, or an orthopedic surgeon. Splinting, anti-inflammatories and/or physical therapy may allow you to avoid surgery. Good luck!

Chest pain, arm numbness, doctor did a physical and took bp and pulse. He said it's most likely a nerve pinch because my heart sounds well...

? other tests ?

Electrocardiogram
At 18 you are at low risk for a heart problem but I have seen pericarditis in younger kids with similar symptoms. An EKG and/or cardiac enzymes would rule out most issues that combine arm numbness with chest pain. Without the arm numbness I would consider heartburn/reflux more likely. However having a more extensive history with timing/duration/activities & exam would allow a more thorough answer

I'm going to see a neurologist for my migraines, my arm is always tingling numb&painful can the scan pick up the cause of the arm numbness also?

Not readily

Wrist_pain
Migraine & numb & tingling arm usually have no associated findings on head scans, which are done to rule out unusual & rare conditions. Migraines have no certain known cause. These arm symptoms are likely due to soft tissue problems, which similarly have no accompanying image changes. Chronic muscle tension headaches & Thoracic Outlet Syndrome might be unifying explanations. See an Osteopath

He has lung cancer metastasis for bones. He is under chemotherapy and the doctor did a biopsy on a lymph node on the left side of his neck. Now he is complaining of left arm numbness. What could be its reason?

Call the oncologist

Lung_cancer
did he have brain or spine metastasis? call the oncologist and inform them of the new symptoms, unlikely related to the lymph node biopsy.
