This : This sounds like an acute flare up of a condition known as plantar fasciitis. There is a band of thick tissue called the plantar fascia that runs across the bottom of your foot, it connects your heel bone to your toes. Often times this band becomes tight and inflammed thus causing heel and arch pain. This condition requires a lot of treatment and supportive care. Visit a podiatrist(foot doctor) for assistance. In the meantime take advil (ibuprofen) for pain and inflammation, request physical therapy, and buy a pair of orthotics. You may need custom orthotics in the future. Good luck. ...Read more

Slow down....: Although there might be other possibilities for your pain, at the top of the list would be an irritation or an inflammation of tissue located in the arch area. These fascial tissues are generally more painful, towards the heel area of the arch. The first step is to have the diagnosis confirmed by a physician. Based on your activity history and foot mechanics, a treatment plan can be designed. ...Read more

The vein on bottom of my foot gets constricted and it pulls my toes a certain way... I am in extreme pain when this happens, what is this?

May not be vein: It may not be a vein issue, but more like a tendon/muscle issue. You also may just be dehydrated or low on potassium. I woke up in the middle of the nite with pain on one side my foot it is the outer side by mybaby toe down the whole foot when I lift it it hurts a lot?

Retrace your steps.: Although the pain could be related to a positional strain while you were sleeping, I 'm more inclined to think it is related to an activity that the foot was involved before retiring. Consider shoes, walking and any other activity that you experienced before going to bed. There is also the possibility of an insect bite or foreign body. If the problem persists, then you need to see a specialist. ...Read more

When ever i walk or run i feel something stretching at the bottom of my foot causing me pain, what is it ?

Could be...: Plantar fascitis if the pains occur mainly in the heel area and even possibly the arch. It could also be generalized arthritis and a number of other possibilities. Take the insoles out of your shoes and replace them with ones that have more arch support. The one i recommend most is the spenco polysorb cross-trainer insole. If you don't need as much cushioning, the total support is also good. ...Read more
