Is ginger ale good for heartburn?

Ginger tea, not ale: Ginger is an old folk remedy for heartburn. Many report it helps though I'm not aware of formal research on this. It may not help everyone but has many proven health benefits. However, I would not recommend ginger ale, which is usually loaded with toxic high-fructose corn syrup; use ginger tea instead.

I have psoriasis and I heard ginger tea is good for this illness. How many times a day should I drink this tea max.?

Moderation is best: Hi SweetC,
Because this is a natural substance and not a pharmaceutical medication, I am unsure about the exact amount/dosage that you should be taking because there are no good clinical trials to guide us. Hi, good afternoon. Is it good to drink ginger if you have an ulcer?

Probably yes: Ginger has a long history of folk use for ulcers, especially stomach ulcers. Most ulcers are caused by the bacteria Helicobacter pylori and in vitro studies suggest ginger can help kill H. pylori bacteria. I am not aware of any clinical studies proving that ginger helps ulcers but it is safe to try and likely to help. Mastic gum is a better-proven remedy. Also see http://tinyurl.
