Probably not, if new: It if just started and you have no other symptoms it is probably no big deal. Sometimes docs don't know why folks have some sensations or symptoms, if minor. (We usually know when symptoms could serious though!) With any change in your bodies functioning, if it is not uncomfortable and lasts briefly, wait it out. You may have a umbilical hernia. This means that a part of your intestines may have come through a defect into your umbilicus (belly button) thus causing pain. You will need your doctor to examine you and possibly order an us if this is suspected. If so, you may need surgical intervention.
