Tinnitus: 2 seconds every month seems like a rare event to me. It's unlikely that ringing sound is fetal heartbeat. If worried, time rate of ringing sound. Fetal heart rate is 120-160 beats per minute or 2-3 beats per second. Check out http://www. Mayoclinic. Org/diseases-conditions/tinnitus/basics/definition/con-20021487 for more info.

What is this whooshing sound of my heartbeat when I sleep on my ear?

What is this whooshing sound of my heartbeat when I sleep on my ear?

Normal blood flow.: You're probably hearing the blood flowing through blood vessels in the ear area. When you have your ear on a pillow, you're blocking out environmental noises, so the normal noises of circulation become audible.

What causes a roaring noise in my ear (left) that sounds like my heartbeat?

What causes a roaring noise in my ear (left) that sounds like my heartbeat?

Turbulent flow: More than likely you are hearing your external carotid artery. Flow in this artery often causesa roaring in the ear on the affected side. On ocassion, this artery may have to be ligated to stop this if unbearable. See an ENT or cv surgeion if not your pcp and get evaluated. You may need hearing eval as well.

I have have sounds in my ear that sounds like static, when I stand I hear my heartbeat in my head and it increases as I do activities. What's this from?

Tinnitus: Tinnitus is actually a very complex perception of some type of noise or sound in the ears or head. There are different types, subjective (only you hear) or objective (others can hear the noise too-rare). It can be pulsatile like a heart beat or non-pulsatile. There can be many causes and it really needs a full evaluation by an otolaryngologist.

Was sitting down with headphones then my ear started to hear a heartbeat sound and it went to super fast and then it stopped and kept on when I yawned?

Was sitting down with headphones then my ear started to hear a heartbeat sound and it went to super fast and then it stopped and kept on when I yawned?

Ear: Great question. Couple of things could cause that. Sometimes the headphones alter how your eustachian tube equalizes air pressure and you are hearing the tube opening and closing; sometimes with the headphones on, you are hearing your heartbeat and there is a little tendon attached to one of your ear bones that contracts in response to loud sounds. See an ENT to check it out

Why is it that in my left ear I hear like a heartbeat thump like sound in my ear?

Various causes: Sometimes this is normal if it's very quiet and you hear it. It can be caused by negative pressure or fluid in the middle ear. Tumors or growths of the middle ear or vascular anomalies can cause this. This has an extensive list of possibilities. You need a good ENT history, exam, and hearing test. This is important to follow-up.

My ears don't bother me pain wise, but time to time I get this noise in my ear. It sounds like a swooshing noise & goes along with my heart beat?

Not to worry: At your age this is unlikely to be of concern. This can happen with anemia and a high flow in your arteries. IF it becomes a distraction or is associated with symptoms like dizziness or vision problems see an ENT doctor
