My right breast has some thickening that I can visualy see when I lean back. It is like a hump. I have had an ultrasound and it was ok still worry?
Likely okay: At 39, an ultrasound is the best detection for lesions that are precursors to breast cancer. Mammograms can help, but ultrasound is likely better. If you're worried about the interpretation, you could always seek a second opinion from another breast expert and has him/her to read your film, or ask for a digital mammogram. If you have a strong family history or other risk factors, good idea. ...Read more

Get a 2nd opinion: This seems like a very rare event. The symptoms could be symptoms of other things possibly missed by your doctor. Why would a tight sports braw cause this problem? Doesn't make sense to me. ...Read more

There is no skin: ...inside the breast itself, so I can understand why you're confused. My right breast has some thickening. And I have had upper back pain for almost one year. My MRI was clear of spine. Could these be related?
Sounds unrelated.: I am concerned about the breast thickening which should be evaluated by a doctor and ultrasound to make sure that it is not a solid breast mass. The upper back pain is less concerning since the MRI showed that it is not due to an abnormality of the spine (such as metastases - cancer which has spread from its primary location) and therefore is probably muscular. ...Read more

Is breast cancer risk increased with suspicious bilateral microcalcification clusters and large thickened nodule w/neg. Us? How much?
Walk B4 U Run: Breast microcalcifications are very common, some of which may be associated with cancer. Radiologists will deem those suspicious enough to warrant biopsy as "birads 4 or 5". If so, the next step is to have a (nonsurgical) biopsy for definitive diagnosis. A nodule seen on mammography but not on ultrasound will also be categorized as above. Your next step is to speak w/the dr. Who ordered the mamm. ...Read more
Both breasts show heterogeneous echopattern. No mass lesion or calcification seen. No evident ductal dilatation or skin thickening noted. Meaning?
Likely benign: Imaging of the breast is imperfect at best. Heterogeneity in the breast is a common finding typically leading to class ii or birads 2 result on the mammogram. This is almost always a benign finding and is typical of a one-year follow-up repeat mammogram. The procedure is generally very low risk with very low levels of radiation. Get a clinical breast exam from your doctor and repeat mammo. ...Read more

Could be anything? --:
Generally these are due to simple diseases which present in a different way, rather than in the classical fashion.
