Lid hygiene: I recommend lid hygiene for your baby. To do this, use cotton balls and baby shampoo, wipe the debris away from the eye and wash four times a day. Also use cold compresses for comfort four times a day. If there is a stye or hordeolum, use hot compresses to assist with drainage. If there is purulent drainage/crust then your baby can benefit from erythromycin ointment which is by prescription. ...Read more
