Can endometrosis be detected through ultrasound and is pregnency risky at the age of 37 wth thyroxine and subserosal fibroid.

No, maybe, no, maybe: Endometriosis cannot be diagnosed on ultrasound, except in the unique case where it forms an endometrioma, . Even then, endometriomas can be confused for other kinds of cysts. 37 years is not 'risky' in the usual sense, though risk of birth defects goes up a bit each year. Thyroid is not a problem if correctly medicated, subserosal fibroid it depends on "where" and "how large?". ...Read more

Sonogram (Definition)

Ultrasound can give us two-dimensional, and in some applications three-dimensional, images of structures and organs in virtually any part of the body. In addition to diagnostic uses, such as evaluating abnormalities in the abdomen, pelvis, and breast, ultrasounds are commonly used to guide needle and catheter placement in a variety of surgical ...Read more

I'm a little bit confused. Drs told me my ultrasound results but they said I have swollen blocked tubes, a polyp and fibroids? Isn't that to much?

Yes and no: Fibroids and polyps are relatively easy to pick up ultrasound. Hydrosalpinges (dilated fluid filled tubes) may be seen on ultrasound but you usually cannot determine if the tubes are blocked. If you are not trying to get pregnant, you can see your gyn. If you are trying to get pregnant, you should see a fertility specialist right away. ...Read more

Hi, I just want to ask about the ultrasound for pregnancy. Is it possible to determine in ultrasound how old the baby is inside?

Hi, I just want to ask about the ultrasound for pregnancy. Is it possible to determine in ultrasound how old the baby is inside?

With great precision: An early ultrasound is the most precise (+/- 3-5 days until 8 weeks) in the determination of the due date and therefore the fetal age. This declines to +/-5-7 days @8-12 weeks +/-7-10 days @13-23 weeks +/-10-14 days @24-28 weeks +/-14-17 days @29-32 weeks and +/- 17-21 days thereafter. Due to the biological variation of the ovulation date ultrasound <24 weeks is more reliable than last period! ...Read more

Pregnant. Blood test is negative, found fibroids on ultrasound. Having pregnant symptoms since september, and baby kicks. What other test prove pregnancy?

Probably not.: If your blood test is negative, and there is no baby in your uterus, then you are probably not pregnant. If you are, it would be a dangerous ectopic pregnancy but a repeat blood test should be enough to prove that you are not. Could the baby "kicks" be stool in the bowel or bowel gas moving around instead? Fibroids can make you feel full or pregnant. You should talk to your provider. ...Read more
