What Is The Result Of Ultrasound For Due Date In Cephalopelvic Disproportion
What is the margin of error for an abdominal ultrasound in the first trimester. Around 11 weeks. Would vaginal be more accurate?
An ultraound, also known as a sonogram, is a painless and relatively inexpensive imaging test that utilizes sound waves instead of ionizing radiation. There are no side effects. Ultrasound can give us two-dimensional, and in some applications three-dimensional, images of structures and organs in virtually any part of the body. In addition to diagnostic uses, such as evaluating abnormalities in the abdomen, pelvis, and breast, ultrasounds are commonly used to guide needle and catheter placement in a variety of surgical ...Read more

Earliest: Due date is best determined by earliest data. For example early ultrasound (less than 12 weeks) consistent with last perod is very realiable at determining due date. What is the accuracy of an abdominal ultrasound in the first trimester? Possible to be off 4 weeks?

Pregnancy dating: I assume by you mean a discrepancy in size? A first trimester ultrasound is considered "consistent" with dating by lmp if measurement is within 7 days of the gestational age by lmp. A 1st trimester ultrasound is a more accurate way to date a pregnancy in most cases because due date based on lmp assumes that you had a 28 day cycle and ovulated on day 14. Many woman do not have a 28 day cycle. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
What's the most accurate, the CRL or the FL,AC, HC ? Which one gives you the most accurate fetal age ? What are the errors?
All of the above.: I am not an Obstetrician, but as I understand it, no one measurement is "most accurate" for fetal age. That is why all are measured together - some sort of average of all the measurements is the best indicator of gestational age. Every baby is different, & due to genetics some babies will have larger heads for a given age, others will have long legs. So doctors follow growth of all parts over time ...Read more
"Is Panaromic blood test to find the gender of the baby with just 6.78% of fetal fraction cells accurate in detecting the gender of the baby as boy."?

Is the ramzi method of which side the placenta is on accurate in determining the gender of a baby?
How important is the date of the last menstrual period in relation to the actual ultrasound dating?
Depends: For an early sono the lmp is less significant since early on, the sono dates are felt to be more accurate. If a patient shows up in the third trimester for her first sono the lmp dates are more important since they are usually a better guess of the actual fetal age. The sono is then used to try to estimate fetal size and growth on subsequent scans. ...Read more

What is the likelihood of miscarriage if the ultrasound notes the fetus is 'low in the uterus' at 2 months? Any literature quoting a percentage?
The low down on PG: All pregnancies are low in the uterus at only 8 weeks gestation prior to uterine expansion lifting them up into the fundus in the 2nd trimester. ...Read more

Is the appearance of visible blue veins in breasts and around the nipple a good indication of pregnancy the week period is due to arrive?
Not necessarily.: Blue veins around the nipple and on the breasts can increase with pregnancy but are not an indication of being pregnant. Veins on the breast can occur for many reasons including genetics, levels of hydration, body temperature and stress. These veins tend to be more prominent in fair skinned women and and usually a variations of normal findings. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
