Had a physical did a routine cbc. My wbc was slightly elevated at 10.83 the lab cutoff was 10.0 is this a concern result. Rest of cbc normal. ?

Family practice : Your WBC count is a little low. Not real bad however. A viral illness can give your a low level. Your hg is a little low as well. That means you are slightly anemic. Women still with a menstral cycle can and usually are slightly anemic. Iron supplements would be helpful if you are symptomatic. Im 24 yo, just had my CBC, WBC is 11.39, RBC 4.05 and other are on their range except for these two. Is this result ok?

Having said that, your WBC count is at the high end of normal, but that does not mean that you have any disease. If you do not have any symptoms, you may wait and watch. If your CBC came up normal in all aspects except elevated WBC (14) can I dismiss luekemia as a threat?
I recently had a CBC and came back with high neutrophils 8.6, lymphs 4.3, monocyttes 1.0, WBC 14.6. All other results were with in normal range.
