What is the rate of success of infertile couples getting pregnant with treatment?

What is the rate of success of infertile couples getting pregnant with treatment?

Excellent: We can find the reason for infertility in 85-90% of patients and are able to help most. Advances in medicine allow us to help patients such as men without sperm in the semen by extracting it from the testis and injecting it directly into the egg, or women who ran out of eggs by using those from another. Pregnancy (Definition)

When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

STAY WELL: Eat healthy, do not smoke, do not drink alcohol. Take prenatal vitamins as when you do get pregnant, you will already be on the vitamins in the first month. Is there hope of getting pregnant if we haven't conceived with in three years of trying? We have both been tested and have unexplained infertility.

Is there hope of getting pregnant if we haven't conceived with in three years of trying? We have both been tested and have unexplained infertility.

There's always hope: There is always hope. We used to say 15-20% of infertility was 'unexplained' (regular cycles, open tubes, good sperm) - with modern testing it's under 1%. Ovarian reserve testing (ultrasound for ovarian volumes and antral follicle count, amh, Clomid (clomiphene) challenge test) 'explains' a lot but there are other possible factors. See board-certified reproductive endocrinologist for workup & treatment options. ...Read more

Maternal age: You are reaching the age of advanced maternal age and in general fertility rates start to decline in your early thirties. However, i would try using some ovulation prediction kits to start and if not ovulating see your gyn for an evaluation. ...Read more

What is the probability of a woman older than 50 to get pregnant naturally without infertility treatments?

What is the probability of a woman older than 50 to get pregnant naturally without infertility treatments?

About zero: Hi. Not all women over 50 have gone through menopause yet. If this woman over 50 is not yet menopausal and still ovulating, she could get pregnant. Why she would want to at that age is beyond anyone's guess, and it would be a high risk pregnancy for her and the fetus. Of course, if she IS menopausal, like statistically most women over 50 are, then there is zero chance of pregnancy. ...Read more

Is it okay for the health of the mother and the child, if my wife goes for root canal to a dentist while she i

Probably: Check with obgyn, as every situation is different. In general, major essential dental work should be completed before planned medical procedures as to not leave problems unaddressed that could develop into pain and/or infection that could affect both mother and child. Elective dental work should be left for after the 1st trimester. Emergencies, including root canals, should be dealt with quickly, . ...Read more

Hello, I just have 1 question. What is the youngest age I can get help getting pregnant from my gp?

Ask your GP :): Your profile says you are 21 years old and live in Australia: I don't know if there are specific firm practices there regarding age, but in the US there is no "age cutoff" that's universally observed. Many GP and OB doctors, and most specialists (myself included) would talk to a young woman and go thru testing if it seemed appropriate. Good wishes. ...Read more
