Well: I think you need to resolve your issue since it seems to reoccur. Now find yourself a doctor and then you go from there. The er is not really an appropriate place for your issue but you do need to have a doctor so you can get a diagnosis and get the matter resolved so you do not suffer anymore ...Read more

Taken when symptoms e.g. heartburn/dyspepsia occur, often to distinguish causes but not as long-term remedy - thus when taken depends more on when sxs than necessarily timing of meals. If US was negative: Then it's unlikely he has pancreatitis. If he hasn't been taking lots of Advil (ibuprofen) or Motrin, a stool H pylori should be checked. Otherwise he may have functional dyspepsia and needs medication to treat. ...Read more

Go back to ER: I'm not sure if glass will show up on an x-ray. Regardless, if you are in severe pain I would return to the er. If possible bring your parent with you to act as your advocate. ...Read more
