What Is The Difference Between Circumcision And Dorsal Slit
Retracting foreskin: A dorsal slit widens the opening of the foreskin to either allow retraction of the foreskin or if large enough, allow the forskin to drape downward almost as if circumcised but with the foreskin still present. A small dorsal slit can release a "tight" opening allowing ease of retraction. A circumcison means to "incise around" & all of the foreskin is removed. There are degrees of circumcision. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Skin removal: The foreskin is removed with circumcision. No skin is removed with a dorsal slit, also known as a prepucioplasty, or foreskin preserving procedure. Traetment ment for phimosis or tight foreskin. A vertical midline incision is made on dorsum of penis thru the narrow area, until skin can retract easily. Vertical incision is then surured transversely, and thus foreskin is preserved. ...Read more
I was told that i needed a circumcision. Without my consent a dorsal slit procedure was performed on me. Is this allowed/accepted?
Red spot on my circumcision line/scar on the dorsal side. It is the same texture as the surrounding circumcision tissue and a tiny tiny bit swollen.
During erection my cavernosa dorsal view where it joins head I have more nice sensitive feeling compared to head, I'm circumcised, is that normal ?
Probably normal: The research is not clear cut http://www.huffingtonpost.com/brian-earp/does-circumcision-reduce-_b_9743242.html Does seem that the foreskin is the more sensitive spot but it's not clear whether circumcised men have less sensitivity. If it isn't interfering significantly with sexual function/pleasure then unlikely to be a problem. May if are having difficulties wish to consult further with GP. ...Read more
My son was circumcised when born, now has erection that bend upwards where the scar is on dorsal side. Too much skin was removed? It is very tight.
I assume your son is: An infant or young child. Show your pediatrician. Rarely, foreskin is cut to the point that intercourse is painful for a male, which wouldn't be an issue prior to puberty. If you are really concerned, request referral to a pediatric urologist to determine if there is any anatomical malformation of the penis that would cause your son to have a medical problem. ...Read more

None w. good hygiene: There is no health difference between circumcised & uncircumcised penises provided foreskin can retract easily and penis is cleaned on a regular basis, Foreskin which can not be easily retracted allows build up of smegma. This can lead to inflammation of foreskin & glans penis, increased risk of sexually transmitted diseases & penile cancer. None of this occurs with good hygiene & a clean penis. ...Read more

Possibly: Sex usually feels somewhat different from one partner to an other whether circumcised or not. Dear Dr. There is a difference between uncircumcised and circumcised male on ejaculation premature time?
Please help! what is the functional difference between a dorsal root ganglion and a sympathetic ganglion?
I've been to a doctor and now I have to get a circumcision. I'm wondering, would that be a big difference for me, and do adults like it afterwards?
Only better!: Once healed, circumcised males have fewer cleanliness and odor issues, somewhat increased sensitivity with sexual relations, and lower risks of certain types of communicable diseases or cancer. All good. And the scarring is usually minimal, so things look like, well, most men out there, since a majority of men are (still, these days) circumcised. Just have an expert do the surgery! ...Read more
