Pa stands for posteroanteriorly (back to front) and ap stands for anteroposteriorly (front to back). Can topical clotrimazole cream be used vaginally as well? Only difference between the 2 seems to be the inactive ingredients.
Maybe OK, but why?: The skin (non-vaginal) cream might work, but can't be guarantteed; I'm sure the manufacturer never studied it for vaginal yeast. And you'd need to use nearly an entire tube of skin cream for just 1-2 treatments. Clotrimazole vaginal cream is designed to be effective and generic versions often are cheap.
