Mgt/workup: The black color may be related to a number of things. If there is tar in the air, old blood in any area of the airway, this can cause this color in the sputum. Don't eat them..: Raw sea food is dangerous anyhow. Hot sauce will not do anything against bacteria. Also, since you are allergic to other foods, you may very well be allergic to sea food also. I would: As tasty as your routine is, the fact is you can live without oysters. You might not be able to say the same with a serious infection, which you are at higher risk for on enbrel (etanercept). No matter how good the source, raw foods contain germs that can cause disease.
