Think about energy: Both fat and carbs function as energy source. If you reduce both your body will start to resent it and you will feel fatigued, not able to perform any physical activity. Instead, increase the exericise, and , with a low carb intake your body will be forced to use more fat for energy. What is your view on the fodmap diet? Why can't probiotics be used instead of this diet? Does exercise increase absorption of fodmaps?
Helpful for many: The fodmap diet is proven to help many with ibs & some with ibd. The idea is that certain sugars are poorly absorbed & then fermented by intestinal microbes producing gas. While probiotics might help slightly by reducing unfriendly flora, even the "good" flora in probiotics can ferment these sugars. I know of no evidence that exercise increases absorption of fodmaps & doubt it would. See comment:. ...Read more
