What can I do about palmar hyperhydrosis? I'm a med student in rotations, and it's difficult to touch patients much less get gloves on quickly.

Botox: Hello! we use a couple things for hyperhydrosis. One, we use a powder spray called "stay-dry" that can help, but after a while this will get wiped off and you will return to the same issues. We also use Botox quite often for this and this can be used in your hands. However, if you decide to do this, make sure you got to someone with a lot of experience to avoid hand weakness. Options: Non surgical options for palmar hyperhydrosis include: anti-perspirant such as certain dri applied at bedtime, oral anticholinergic drugs, or iontophoresis (electrical shock of the sweat glands). You can buy a home kit to do this. With patience initially, it can be very effective. Botox injections are also very effective, although it will not be considered "home treatment.". ...Read more
