Be factual: 1) go to a good doctor. 2) carefully described your symptoms and your history. Having outside records from other docs/treatment facilities is helpful. 3) don't be focused on benzo's. If you come to me and the first thing out of your mouth is "i want xanax, (alprazolam) " i will probably discount anything you say after that. 4) there are other rx for anxiety besides benzo's.
