Please : Please don't give up hope. Stepping in front of a car or drinking yourself to death is not the answer. It is clear that you care, because you are inquiring about ways to kill yourself that would keep your life insurance intact. I suspect that people who care about you, would rather have you around then the money from a life insurance policy. You have a lot on your plate. It sounds like you have chronic pain, drug and alcohol additions and urges to hurt or kill others which you take out on yourself. You do need help. You sound as though you are depleted and at the end of your rope. You wrote into this column because at least part of you wants help. I recommend that you go to the nearest er and just be completely honest about where your head is at. If you can't get to an er, you can call 911. You took the first step by writing in.
