Ringing in ears? I recently separated out of the military and when its all quiet i hear a sound that sounds like a tv is on but with no volume. I don't know if that makes sense but i guess the best way i can think of explaining it is the electronic waves

You : You probably have some hearing loss from noise exposure which has caused the tinnitus (ringing in the ears). The problem starts in the brain. The best treatment is sound therapy. Depends what it is..: An "ear cold" does not have a strict medical definition and i would suspect could represent one of 2 things. One is a true bacterial infection of the middle ear(otitis media) which often can require antibiotics to clear up. Another would be eustachian tube dysfunction in which a cold or allergies can block the drainage tube of the ear and this can last until the cold resolves or longer 1-2 weeks. ...Read more
