My baby is 4 months. Can she start using a walker/bouncer? She has good head control and can sit supported.
When able to sit up: Walkers and jumpers do not help a baby learn to walk. Walkers and jumpers are ok to use under adult supervision, and for less than 30-60 minutes at one time. They are not for keeping a toddler in, without supervision. Dangers include crashing into furniture corners, flipping over, falling down stairs, and sliding through the seat (possibly getting tangled up and possibly getting choked). ...Read more
3 month old, good head control, trys to stand on his legs when i try to put him down, can I let him stand with support or should I keep stopping him?
Prop reflex: A 3 mo will extend his/her legs to prop as a standard reflex, it is not an effort to stand. This reflex disappears between 6-9 mo as kids nervous system prepares for voluntary standing. Nix (permethrin) or Rid: I'd start with a basic otc product like nix (permethrin) cream rinse or rid. Used as directed, they are generally effective when used in conjunction with daily combing with a nit comb. You don't need to fumigate your home, but i would clean brush/comb with boiling water, wash and dry bedding/ clothing (hot dryer). Items that can't be launder and dried on hot should go into a bag for 2 weeks. Good luck. ...Read more
