Yes: Some cases of Parkinsonism do not respond well to L-DOPA, so a different therapeutic approach is advised. Would suggest trial of Stalevo, (carbidopa and levodopa and entacapone) which contains entacapone, which may enhance the Sinemet effect, and you may be better off with a longer duration agonist such as Neupro patch.
