At 7:00am I take plavix (clopidogrel) 75-aspirin 161-cardizem-120. Would it be ok to take the aspirin at a different time of day?
Is it ok to take plavix (clopidogrel) and chantix at the same time want to quit smoking but need to know if it is safe to tak chantix and plavix (clopidogrel) at the same time
Should be safe: There are no reported interactions between Plavix (clopidogrel) and chantix, but there are potential interactions between Plavix (clopidogrel) and tobacco, so that if you discontinue tobacco, it may affect the metabolism of the Plavix (clopidogrel) and clotting. Talk to your doctor. If you are on plavix, (clopidogrel) smoking will aggravate all the clotting/bleeding problems, so good for you for wanting to quit. Stick with it, and good luck! ...Read more

I started taking Plavix once a day and I also take Prevacid (lansoprazole) and on occasion Prilosec. Is there any interactions with these drugs?
Absolutely: There is a well know interaction between plavix and proton pump inhibitors. Plavix is a prodrug(inactive) and is activated in the liver. This process of activation is blocked by proton oump inhibitors. Specifically with nexium and prilosec, also somewhat with other ppis. The only one safe to use is dexilant (dexlansoprazole) and possibly protonix. Or change plavix to effient or brilinta under guidance of MD ...Read more

I am on haemodialysis for 5 years. Is it ok to take plavix (clopidogrel) with aspirin
for my case? Even at dialysis day? Thanks
I had 3 stents in after having 2 heart attacks in 5 day period. Was put on plavix (clopidogrel) and some other meds but can not afford to take them. No insurance.
Dont stop: If you stop the Plavix (clopidogrel) too early it could cause a blood clot and a major heart attack. Hopefully the doctors know about your insurance situation and gave you the noncoated stents that only need 1 month of Plavix (clopidogrel) rather than a year. The doctor or hospital social worker should be able to help find you some free samples of Plavix (clopidogrel) or a related pill. ...Read more

But I don't suspect that she will have any problem from that. If she had any bleeding or bruising, notify your doctor. ...Read more

Double question: The active metabolite has an elimination half-life of about eight hours. Following an oral dose of 14c-labeled clopidogrel in humans, approximately 50% was excreted in the urine and approximately 46% in the feces in the five days after dosing.
