Hi recent diagnosis sle and aerd. Chol 418, LDL 319. Hbp, CKD 3. On Lipitor (atorvastatin) 20mg day. Is this the best med for my cond? What would work better? Concerned.
High Cholesterol: Your cholesterol (c) is extremely high along with your LDL c. You need to speak to an endocrinologist (e) to see what medicine the e would put you on. At the very minimum, the maximum dose of Lipitor (atorvastatin) is 80 mg and you are on only 20. Ask your doctor to see if that dose could be increased. You may also need to lose weight and modify your diet. See an e and get some input from her about your lipids. ...Read more

WBC at all time low 3.9. The bottom reference range is 4.0. I take Luvox and Lipitor (atorvastatin). Can either alone or in combo cause this? Concerns with low wbc?
Not specifically.: Neither drug mention leukopenia as specific side effects. Luvox (fluvoxamine) however has been known to cause nosebleeds and easy bruising, I would recommend going back to your doctor to see if you can stop these medication, or one of them to see if the leukopenia will improve. Hi doctor, is it ok to take voltaren with aspirin, lipitor, (atorvastatin) ace inhibitor, lexapro, coq10, fish oil, multivitamin, and if yes best way to take. Thank?
You can, but why?: Is it causing you more side effects? Or is it a financial burden? Mind you this is the lowest dose, and at your age you may be taking it for a familial type hyperlipidemia, so you may need more not less. Your best bet is to discuss that with your treating doctor who may advise an alternative or adjust the dosage, best wishes ...Read more

I am taking amox tr-k clv 875 mg 125 mg every 12 hours but want to take it once a day instead. I am a diabetic and taking Farxiga, Oseni, lipitor (atorvastatin).
I would advise not:
To do that. The antibiotic is 12 hours tab, and it becomes low in the body after 12 hours resulting in being not effective as well as making the infection grow resistance to the Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate).
It is usually 7 to 10 days, so please bear it and continue taking as prescribed.
Thank you and good luck. ...Read more
My tot. Chol is 418, LDL 319. Have sle and CKD 3. I take 80 mgs Lipitor (atorvastatin) day. No one mentioned diet. Pls, what med is #1 on your go to list for chol? Ty
High cholesterol: My go to drug for high cholesterol (c) reduction is Crestor (rosuvastatin) and it needs to be given in reduced dosage in patients with chronic kidney disease. I would start you on a dose of 5 mg/day. That will likely not be enough to lower your levels significantly. You need to go to an endcrinologist (e) to see if the e can add other drugs you can take to lower your dangerously high c. Good luck. ...Read more

Pain in heel of foot when walking just started one day ago take high blood pressure pillis and lipitor (atorvastatin)?
HEEL PAIN: Heel pain has many causes. Is your pain worse first thing in the morning or after periods of rest? Is it on the bottom or back of the heel? Plantar fascitis is the most common cause of pain on the bottom of the heel. Start by doing calf stretches, ibuprofen, and wearing arch supports (all day long). If that doesn't work see a foot specialist. Doubtful that your meds have anything to do with this. ...Read more
