What Is The Best Scar Removal Cream
I have rather annoying acne scars both on my face & chest what's the Best scar Removal cream or gel?
Acne scars may…: respond to vitamin A products (for minor imperfections) but a dermatologist may be needed for more severe defects (such as from cysts). Derm docs have a whole arsenal of ways to treat acne scars: chemical peels, dermabrasion, lasers, Botox, collagen fillers. If your acne is still active, get checked for polycystic ovary ds (increases male hormone which worsens acne) & see dermatologist
None REMOVES!: Scars are permanent and cannot be removed or eliminated by any surgeon or technique presently in existence. There are scar pads (silicone sheets) and topical products that can help to reduce the severity of scarring, and lasers can reduce redness, but nothing actually removes scars but cutting them out and replacing them with a new (perhaps better) scar.See 2 more doctor answers
Unfortunately none: There are no creams which can remove pores or scars from the facial areas. Some topical applications are helpful in fresh scarring to quiet the areas. Seek a dermatologist that offers laser and chemical peel options. Be careful with treatment due to tendency to "over" pigment when using these entities.
Improve not remove: There is no scar cream that will remove a scar. The proper cream depends on the condition of the scar. Most consist of silicone geeks mixed with some sunblock. Others contain vitamin e, antioxidants, onion extract (me derma), steroids, bleaching agents, moisturizers, etc. The effectiveness of these other agents is debated and their benefits may depend on the individual characteristics of the scar.See 3 more doctor answers
Scar removal what can one do to lessen the appearance of scars? Are there any effective creams, lotions, etc.
OTC : Otc scar creams typically aren't all that effective. Depends alot on the location and characteristics of the scar. Sometimes, Retin-A cream can help, laser resurfacing, laser treatment of redness, or perhaps surgical scar revision. I would recommend you consider seeing a dermatologist or plastic surgeon to discuss your options. I hope that helps.See 1 more doctor answer
Not reliably: First priority is to treat the acne. Once this is under control, the scars can mature, and hopefully fade. If the scars do not resolve see a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon for available treatments. There are many, because none are prefect. Bleaching creams, even the best ones, work about 1/3rd of the time with proper, long term use.See 1 more doctor answer

Are acne scar removal products specfically creams like bio oil, selevax as effective as fractional co2 laser?
Can you tell me, are acne scar removal products(creams like bio oil, selevax etc)as effective as fractional co2 laser?
Be aware that...: Scars cannot be removed, they are permanent. They can, however, be improved. Beware of anyone who tells you that he/she can remove or erase your scars. There are many treatments. Do your homework, don't expect miracles, and see a surgeon with knowledge and experience in this area.See 3 more doctor answers
Improval: Scars can often be improved or made less visible with scar revision surgery but cannot be removed. Scar treatments can include laser or sanding (dermabrasion) or perhaps surgical revision. Surgery is usually done to reduce the overall amount of scar or to reshape or reposition a scar. There is no way to completely remove a scar however.See 3 more doctor answers
OTC acne products: Typically if your scars do not recede in a few months you should invest in physician grade products that can help improve your acne and prevent scarring. Alpha hydroxy's and Retin-A can help exfoliate your skin, hydroquinone can help lighten scars; and if more severe you may needs peels or lasers to even out the scars. Good diet, water, vitamin d and b can help the skin heal.See 1 more doctor answer
Can anyone recommend the best place for laser acne scar removal in or near the bay area in california? I did research but found nothing promising.
Dermatologists: To my knowledge, nearly almost all dermatologists are going to have laser treatment of acne scars as one of their mainstays of treatment options. Have you called a dermatologists office near you? I looked on line just now and there were a lot of dermatologists in the bay area offering this service. Best, of luck.See 1 more doctor answer
What is the best treatment for sun damage and brown spots snd mild cystic acne scar removal on the face?

Not much: Unfortunately, most scar treatments offer only marginal improvement over doing nothing at all. The biggest problem with the area around the lips is the amount of dynamic motion and tension that is created on the wound, which lends to a problematic scar. I find the biggest factor is the amount of surgical debridement of injured tissue affects the outcome of the scar.See 1 more doctor answer
I went for scar revision a month back. What cream will help me get rid of the new revision scars sooner?
Improve, not remove.: Scars cannot be removed but there is a large variety of techniques to improve their appearance, both surgical and non-surgical. They also improve with time. See a dermatologist or board-certified plastic surgeon to evaluate your options. Good luck!See 1 more doctor answer
