No "best": There is no best medication for back pain. Some people do well with tylenol, (acetaminophen) others do well with anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxants, nerve pain agents and many others. In my opinion the best treatment for back pain is to try to get moving again as best you can as well as a series of stretching and core strengthening exercises.
