If the bumps are on both sides of the body (like arms ; thighs) one can use amlactin on one side (and use the other side for comparison). PainInTheTemple, Oy!: At your age it could be an inflamed temporal artery, which is a marker for inflammation to deeper arteries, some of which could affect your eye and eyesight. So best to go see your doctor right away. A blood test could give a fairly good answer.
