Possible nephritis: I'm not sure but it's known to cause nephritis (serious kidney problems) that may manifest with fatigue. It can also cause magnesium deficiency ; other serious problems. The safety of Protonix (pantoprazole) ; similar drugs taken for prolonged periods hasn't been studied, yet docs prescribe them for years. I feel they should not be used more than a few months. The most common are aspirin and NSAID's, such as ibuprofen and headache powders. In addition, your doctor should have checked for H. Pylori. If present, it will need to be treated.
