What Is Oxyelite Pro Super Thermogenic
Is oxy elite pro and fish oil safe to take? I am 16 taking oxy elite pro and fish oil, i was wondering if this is safe
First : First of all i would like to say that i think oxyelite pro is unsafe for a 16 year old. It contains a high amount of caffeine, which should definitely be avoided in a young healthy person. Caffeine may seem harmless but is has many serious effects on the body. Just to name a few: restlessness, nervousness, excitement, inability to sleep, flushing of the face (turning red), increased urination, stomach pain, fast or irregular heart beat, disordered thoughts and speech. Also you have to know that caffeine is addictive and can cause a serious withdrawal when coming off of it. Really consider if you want to deal with any of the above possibilities. To answer your question, I do not believe there is an interaction between oxyelite pro and fish oil, however very little research is done in the area since this supplement is not regulated by the fda (food and drug administration). Therefore i always warn patients when taking such supplements. With a healthy diet and exercise regimen you should be able to obtain your goals without these supplements. Consider a visit with a nutritionist or registered dietician. Take good care. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Who knows: Since it's a proprietary blend of various herbs and supplements -- no one knows what's in it. One thing we do know, however, is that it won't help you lose weight, except in your wallet. Whether it's safe or not is a different matter. That only gets studied if people develop toxicity or die after using it. Save your money and your health. Eat less/exercise more to lose weight. ...Read more
Unlikely to work: Diet supplements are a big industry but don't really work. One's desire to eat can be much stronger that a supplement's power to decrease his appetite (or "burn fat"), so he will likely continue to eat too many calories. Also, diet supplements don't increase one's desire to exercise. If something as simple as a diet supplement was effective, we would not have so much obesity today. ...Read more

I wanna take a fat burner called trio slim and it contains 10mg BIOPERINE,can it be harmful or should i change my fat burner ?Thanks in advance
Avoid "fat burners": Our bodies like to use glucose (our main fuel), which comes from the food in the stomach and small intestine, and from the liver (where glucose is stored in a starch form called glycogen). As long as one is not eating enough to supply glucose to his cells, his liver will run low on glucose/glycogen, and his body will burn other fuels like fat to keep his cells working. Eat less and exercise more. ...Read more
Maybe not: Herbalife has many products, and since they are not medications or substances approved by the FDA, Herbalife products are probably not tested for effectiveness, interactions, and side effects like real medicines are. That means nobody really knows what side effects there are. If an Herbalife user hears of some interaction or thinks he is getting a side effect, he can visit his primary care doctor. ...Read more

Is creatine supplements safe for me, a 16 year old boy to take? The protien supplement carnivor and musclepharm powder has creatine in it and I take it.
Careful.: Creatine supplements can be harmful on a number of levels. First they require a great deal of hydration once starting to use them. Second, None of the supplements are undergoing any degree of regulation on how they are prepared. What makes this more difficult is that they tend to be endorsed by word of mouth with peers, often causing yielding to peer pressure. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I am taking anti gray supplements by a company called biovea that contains catalase, is it safe or should I stop using it ?
Yes; Yes: Catalase is a normal body enzyme which is in our blood and cells which breaks down hydrogen peroxide. There is no reason to believe à priori that your body is not producing it in appropriate amounts or in excessive amounts, and if you were doing so in your hair producing cells that taking this enzyme by mouth would somehow get up to your scalp and stop your hair from turning gray.
