Fluid: It isnt normal but it is common. The eustachian tubes dont work well until age 7 or 8. If fluid build up is causing hearing loss or speech problems, then pressure equalizing tubes may be very helpful. Not so much: The whooshing sound in your ears implies pressure in the ears, infection, hypertension, or a blood vessel that may be laying across your hearing mechanism. Of course, there can be many other causes, but anemia or low iron would not be on my list of explanations for this type of symptom. If it has only been a short time, great. This could be viral. Yes: Everyone can get water in their ears while bathing or swimming. Most of the time, it drains out on its own by tilting your head & perhaps rapping your noggin once or twice.
