My husband has MRSA in his nose. He was in the hospital. He used the mupirocin ointment in his nose daily as prescribed. Is he contagious to others?
MRSA: Your husband is not likely to be "contagious" to others. Short term use: I generally recommend Mupirocin for mild, superficial infections that don't warrant the use of systemic antibiotics.
