Get checked for STDs: Vaginal bleeding after sex is suspicious for cervicitis, often due to STDs like gonorrhea, chlamydia, sometimes trichomonas. Probably you were examined and tested for STDs, but if in doubt check with your doctor. Metronidazole is fine for bacterial vaginosis and trich, but not for gonorrhea or chlamydia. I've social anxiety, get nervous, can't talk, doc gave me alprazolam (t.I.D) and sertaline (b.I.D) for 2 weeks, will these cause permanent ED & impotence?

No: But medication shouldn't be the only answer. The sertraline is the best treatment but may take weeks or months to work, and to get to the dose that works. The xanax works right away, and should be used only when needed, and if taken regularly, needs to be tapered. Psychotherapy should also be part of the picture to help with finding any antecedent causes and helping you find other solutions. ...Read more

I actually have saringomyelia and so far my doctors are only able to give me drugs, taking morphine 160 mg p/day but not helping as much as use to. What should I expect from here on??? I haven't talked to anyone that has had it as long as I. I've had it

Syringomyelia: Many times pain from your condition is caused by damaged nerves. Narcotic medications are not very effective for that kind of pain, especially if you've been on them for a while. Other medicines like gabapentin or nortriptyline may be helpful in decreasing pain. They can make you tired initially, but usually that feeling goes away. ...Read more

Confidential: if you discuss anything with your doctor in person or in examination room in presence of a staff or alone has to be documented in your chart since the chart is so confidential you and who ever you allowed are the only people can see it reporting it is not violation of your trust it is the opposite he is maintaining his trust by documenting so do not be angry at your doctor he is only doing his job ...Read more
