I just been diagnosis with klebsiella pneumoniae in urine, on kepflex. Can that spread to the rest of my body. I'm really nervous, I am also 22 weeks preg.

Antibiotic helps: When you have a urniary tract infection, there is the possibility that, if left untreated, it can spread up to the kidneys, causing a simultaneous kidney infection as well. However, since your doctor has put you on an antibiotic, the idea is that the medication will kill the klebsiella bacteria before it has a chance to make it up to your kidneys. Finish your med and drink lots of water! ...Read more

Male, 40 yrs, urine analyses shows Klebsiella sps, no E coli. pain in lower back, cloudy smelly urine. Plz. suggest a good natural remedy.

I am not sure if the UTI though completely explains the pain. If the pain persists after completing antibiotics i would recommend you see an obgyn. ...Read more
