Was prescribed with Duphaston 3 tablets daily by Gynae. Is it safe during early pregnancy around 5 weeks? Had a chemical pregnancy previously.
I recently had the mirena coil fitted, and I am also still taking the pill at the advice of my Gynae. My period began 4 days ago and has been very light until last night when I began experiencing cramping and it got much heavier. I'm due to take my pill
Unclear plan: It is not clear why you are taking the pill and the IUD. Sometimes this is done when one experiences breakthrough bleeding while on Mirena (levonorgestrel). If that is not the reason then I would clarify with the prescribing physician why you are doing both things. If you are not satisfied with the level of bleeding then they can discuss alternatives. They can also check that your IUD is in the correct position ...Read more

What happens if I injected 2-3 mil of air into a vein through a cvp line could it possibly cause death within 48 hours?
"Noninvasive hemodynamic assessment is consistent with normal PASP, a nomal CVP, a likely normal LVEDP."What above CVP and LVEDP on echo stand and mean?
PASP= Pulmonary: Artery Systolic Pressure. CVP = Central Venous Pressure. LVEDP = Left Ventricular End Diastolic Pressure. Testing (assessment) most likely with ECHO and Soundwaves (Doppler) (therefore noninvasive) are able to infer the pressures inside the heart (hemodynamics). They apparently were all NORMAL. ...Read more
CVP: Central venous pressure (CVP) is generally measured in a large vein returning blood to the heart or estimated on physical examination by pressure waves seen in the jugular vein in the neck. It often reflects intravascular volume and/or right heart pressure. Depending on the cause your physician may recommend sodium and fluid restriction and/or diuretic therapy. You should discuss w/ your doctor. ...Read more

What is the best way to recover from low WBC after chemotherapy (r-cvp for stage 2 diffuse large b-cell lymphoma) for a very elderly (85y) patient?
It depends.: R-cvp is a relatively milder regimen and therefore it does not usually result in very low wbcs. In general, modest decrease in WBC is expected and is not associated with higher risk for infections unless WBC become very low with neutrophil count below 500. If this is the case, you doctor may decide to use a growth factor given after chemotherapy to stimulate your bone marrow to produced wbcs. ...Read more

Am a 36year old woman with a son who us now 12yrs. I wanted to get pregnant again but to no avail. I have not seen a gynae yet.?
I need advice from a gynae. I have a mirenna inserted 5 years ago in March. When does this stop working. Must it be done in March or can it wait.
A 9 month wait?: Mirena does have a finite life as the hormones are metabolized and are no longer effective. If you go past the expiration date, then pregnancy is a very real possibility as ovulation can resume at any time past that point. A nine month wait for a new baby would not be a risk worth taking of going past the expiration date of Mirena. ...Read more
