What Is Farting A Sign Of Hiv
I recently had a HIV antibody blood test with the dr. He asked when my last exposure was. I told him 8 years ago when it was really 6. I had a brain fart. Will that time difference matter at all?
Hiv infection is caused by a retrovirus....This retrovirus binds to CD4 cells (for the most part). You may detect the virus by several different methods. An elisa test (enzyme linked immunosorbent assay). You may also detect it by doing a test referred to as a western blot (a gel protein electrophoresis). Thirdly by pcr (polymerase chain reaction) which ...Read more
Probably not HIV: Intestinal gas (belching, farting, intestinal rumbling) has many causes -- infections, diet, and others -- but HIV isn't among them. Also, at age 18 the chance of a new HIV infection probably is low. Regardless of symptoms, if you think you are at risk for HIV (unprotected sex, multiple partners, shared injection equipment, etc) see a doctor or clinic to evaluate risk and check for HIV and STDs. ...Read more
Can you get HIV with sewing needle prick open wound 24 hours old that contacts to gas pump which has blood on it?
Please get help: A sewing needle prick is sealed by platelets within seconds and fibrin within a few minutes. Blood isn't going to get through. Hiv is a wimpy virus and won't survive on a gas pump. Zebra, you deserve better from life than to continue to suffer from these obsessive, fantastical, utterly-unrealistic fears. Please get with your physician and ask about mental health care. It will help. Best wishes. ...Read more
I hurt my finger on a gas pump the other day. I thought I pinched it but in the back of my mind I'm afraid that maybe there was a needle there that was infected with something like hiv. How likely would I be to get infected with that?
You must see your Primary doctor as soon as possible - may need to go early to the nearest Emergency facility.
Unlikely that a needle was there but you must go and find out.
Hope all is OK., and don't delay!

HIV: Petichiae occur due to either capillary fragility or to some defect in coagulation, usually platelet deficiency. The latter may occur due to a wide number of mechanisms, many of which can be seen in either acute HIV disease (splenic enlargement or bone marrow disease), or due to any of the infections or malignancies that following profound immune deficiency due to hiv/aids. ...Read more
"No": People with HIV infection have fevers of 100.5. People without HIV infection have fevers of 100.5. Every person on planet Earth has had or will have a fever of 100.5 regardless of his or her HIV status, because getting a fever of 100.5 at some time is a normal life event. That is why fever is both not a sign of HIV and also not a sign of not having HIV. ...Read more
NO: Hiv causes immune deficiency and actually since the body lacking the immune cells, the host reaction is less. There will be bleeding gum with minimal inflammation but severe bone loss. Thus the destruction comes with less signs and symptom. Linear erythema, a red line along the gingival crest, occurs with less plaque and calculus deposition. Consult with your dentist. ...Read more

No.: Seborrheic dermatitis is a very common skin condition. Because it is an overgrowth of yeast (which is normally on the skin of all of us), it does not indicate a systemic condition. Many people with this condition have warmer body temperatures and tend to perspire more than others, both conditions that encourage yeast to grow. ...Read more

Many, many causes: Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells and digested food. Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph for anything bad like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts. They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react. They shrink when all is well. ...Read more
HIV is hard to get:
Nope. Not in any way. But, remember stds are prevalent and you put yourself at risk for most of them if you allow unprotected intercourse.
Hiv takes weeks to spread in the body. It then takes years to get to a point of immune deficiency to lead to infections with other common bugs. ...Read more
I have small, flat red area in my chest skin without itchy and spread its happend in 2days ago, is it HIV sign?
If I'm showing signs and symptoms of hiv, even if its before the window period is up, will I be able to test positive?
It is very unlikely that your symptoms are due to HIV, if you are in the window period. By definition, antibody tests are negative in the window period. If you get a HIV nucleic acid test, that is the earliest test to turn positive in a person with HIV. But a negative result on a test done too soon does not rule out infection.
