Side effects to buspar (buspirone)?

Well - tolerated: My patients have tolerated Buspar (buspirone) exceptionally well. The most common side effect they have reported is dizziness. Other potential side effects can include: headache, feeling tired, ringing of ears, paradoxical feelings of restlessness or anxiety, blurring of vision, nausea, GI upset, dry mouth & congestion. Priapism would be a very rare but serious side effect. See below. ...Read more

Agitation on buspar (buspirone): In my experience this can happen with some people and I don't think it resolves with time. Just because it is approved for anxiety treatment doesn't mean it helps all types of anxiety. Talk with your prescriber. ...Read more
