What Is Black Licorice Good For
Yes: Black licorice is a candy, and licorice root is a plant (glycyrrhiza glabra). Black licorice candy contains glycyrrhizin, the compound made from black licorice root that's used as a sweetener. Glycyrrizin can cause body potassium levels to fall. There are de-glycyrrinated licorice supplements available, if using for that purpose. For what?: Red "licorice"is not real licorice at all, mostly high fructose corn syrup, red dye and artificial flavors. It has no health benefits and is actually toxic. Better quality black licorice, while also sugary, has real licorice in it, a medicinal herb with some health benefits, though it is healthier to use as a tea, tincture or tablet.
I've heard some good benefits from teas. I'm just curious about the benefits of licorice spice herbal tea that doesn't contain glycyrrhizin?

Black stool: Eating black licorice is a known cause of black stools. Bile in stool causes green color. Blood in the upper GI tract acted on by digestive enzymes turns black and this is called melena or melenic stools. The stool will not only be black but "tarry" and sticky and very maladrous. Iron can turn the stool black but not foul smelling and tarry.

My doctor prescribed me Faceclin gel + Fucidic acid cream + Re'ment cream (tetrahydrocurcumin, Tetrahydropiperine, Arbutin, Licorice). Is it good??
Generally yes: The Faceclin and fusidic acid creams may be redundant since both contain antibiotics. Faceclin would be better of the two for acne, but the creams prescribed all have efficacy and they should all work in concert to help the problem (s) they were prescribed for.
I've been eating natural black licorice candy daily for several months. Just read can be dangerous. I don't have high blood pressure. Should I worry?
I had a black stool yesterday and I knew because I ate black licorice and iron pill. So I stopped eating it but until now I still have a black stool?
Not normal, get help: Blood in stool is a warning sign. Brisk bleeding warrants emergency care. Causes of bleeding may be predictable (e.g. rectal trauma), but evaluation is always appropriate. A rule of thumb (but not absolute): black stool means bleeding comes from upper GI tract; grape jelly stool from small bowel; silver stool from biliary tree; burgundy stool from right colon; red blood from left colon to anus.
Is it dangerous to eat a couple servings of all natural black licorice daily... It contains licorice extract. I have naturally low blood pressure.?
Sounds ok: The main concern is that it can cause high blood pressure so if your BP is low or normal, it sounds like you're okay.
I get very tender breasts only when I'm extremely anxious, which can last for weeks. I read coconut oil & licorice root extract is good. Is this true?

Don't overdo it: The more serious risk of excess black licorice is as a cause of high blood pressure. People who have actually have gotten sick have eaten the real stuff (not just licorice-flavored candy); if this is a major component of your diet, do keep track of your electrolytes and blood pressure with your physician during your annual health check-ups. If they are okay, enjoy what you love.
