Impending heart attack, anemia, angina, gerd, muscle strain ? Taken tylenol, used salonpas, took alprazolam. Nothing works on the 17th of sept, i was out , " de-rusting " a bike, & getting any rust of the chain. Also, i did lift the bike ; a rockhopper.

What is the ?: If you were having angina - cardiac chest pain after activity - you should have been calling 911, getting ems or going to a hospital, and not sitting at your computer typing. Tylenol, (acetaminophen) salonpas and xanax are not the right treatment for an impending myocardial infarction. See your doctor about your chest pain and work on reducing your risks - smoking, overweight, high fat/cholesterol. Take aspirin. ...Read more

I have a dry socket. Been taking about 2400mg-motrin and 1200mg-tylenol each day. Been doing this 1 1/2 months(b4 tooth pulled). Safe? Alternatives?

I have a dry socket. Been taking about 2400mg-motrin and 1200mg-tylenol each day. Been doing this 1 1/2 months(b4 tooth pulled).  Safe? Alternatives?

Not normal: This is not a normal post-operative complication because a dry socket should go away before two weeks. Way too much of the Motrin and tylenol (acetaminophen) which cautions potential liver damage. Area should be re-evaluated with an x-ray to see if there is still a bone or tooth fragment left causing the continuing infection. Something is still wrong. ...Read more

None: I've never heard of a patient experiencing withdrawals from either of those medications. The only thing i can think of might be a recurrence of pain if you have been taking either of them for awhile. ...Read more

Yes: Tylenol (generic name: acetaminophen) and Motrin (generic name: ibuprofen) are different drugs, and can be taken together. Just make sure that you don't take more than the recommended dose of either drug, and that you don't take other medications (like cold medicines, or other pain medicines) that have Acetaminophen in them too. Also, avoid nsaids (like motrin) in pregnancy. ...Read more

Tylenol/Ibuprofen: Yes as long as you dont overdose on them. Maximum dose for tylenol (acetaminophen) is 4000mg/1day and 2400-3200mg/1 day for Motrin (ibuprofen). Also make sure you take food with Motrin as this can cause GI upset/gastritis. ...Read more
