Thyroid nodule : Thyroid nodules are very common especially among women my impression is your doctor suspected something in your thyroid and ordered the ultrasound because it is generally not possible to feel that small a nodule this size nodules are generally not amenable to biopsy if there is no family history of cancer thyroid and u have not had radiation to the neck it can be followed with another ultrasound. ...Read more

There are two solid-appearing nodules in the right ovary measuring 2.6 x 2.2 x 1.9 cm and 4.1 x 3.5 x 2.8 cm. These are isoechoic to the ovarian tissu?

Many possibilities: W/o seeing the pictures, ur description isn't sufficient 2 make diagnosis. Ultimately, u'll have 2 talk 2 ur gynecologist. Given ur age, there's a gd chance d nodules r benign; endometriosis mass (endometrioma) & dermoid cyst/tumor r likely. Probably not...: The fact that 2 FNA's came back as non-diagnostic, and that it is isoechoic suggest that the nodule is most likely benign. I would suggest going to a different facility (with good reputation) and repeating the FNA. Alternatively, you can wait another 6 months or so and repeat the US. ...Read more

What causes solid nodules with vascularity ?

Need photo to help: is this single or multiple nodules? where is it located on body? any itching or sign of infection with redness or pus? would be very helpful to see this nodule for more information and assistance regarding treatment and f/u.
