Been diagnosed with frozen shoulder but arm turns red when raised at shoulder height and bent towards head, what causes this. I had surgery on 7-14-11 for impingement, bone spurs and part of bursae sack removed also have a small tear that was not repaired
Hard to tell: Agree with dr. Wood in part regarding color change. Probably worth examining. Would want more details on the "small tear" that wasn't repaired. If full thickness i would advise repair especially with continued pain. Stiffness may be just inhibition from the pain. Seek out a shoulder specialist this go round. There is a difference in skill set amongst surgeons so be careful next go round. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Since your bones are held together with joints and ligaments, only a reversible stretching will occur. How long can swelling last after deviated septum surgery? My nose has a small bump on the bridge that feels hard like bone. Could it be swelling?
Possibly: followup w/your surgeon As a general rule for my patients I say that 80% of swelling is gone after 2 weeks & 90% is gone after 2 months, but really more like 6 weeks. That being said-a bump on the bridge of the nose should not be from septal surgery. The septum is in the middle of your nose & surgery to the nasal dorsum/nasal bridge is more from rhinoplasty or septorhinoplasty. f/u w ur surgeon ...Read more

I have a bone spur in my heal, medication nor home treatment does not work. Would surgery be the best solution?
Plantar Fasciitis: "Bone Spurs" or "Heel Spurs" are old ways of expressing one of the most common problems I see in practice: Plantar Fasciitis. The pain does not come from a spur, but actually comes from tension and inflammation across this ligament. I DO NOT recommend surgery for this problem. I am able to get rid of the problem 99% of the time in my patients conservatively. See a Podiatrist. ...Read more
