What Is A Paraovarian Cyst
A cyst is a structure or mass that consists of a cellular lined sac. It is typically filled with fluid but may be filled with solid material. It can be congenital, traumatic, or acquired. They may develop nearly anywhere in the body and usually require complete excision for eradication or they are likely to recur. Fluid filled sacs that are not cellular lined ...Read more

1 CM paraovarian cyst incidentally found on u/s. Is this a simple cyst? All it said was '1 x1cm paraovarian cyst'. F/u not needed, apparently.
A parovarian cyst is a tiny fluid-filled sac found in 3-4% of women incidentally for other reasons. Depending on whether the cyst is attached to the top of the fallopian tube (the fimbria) or nearby, the cyst may be called a "hydatid cyst of morgagni [see image attached]*" or, simply, a "paratubal cyst."

1 CM paraovarian cyst 2 years ago on u/s. Had baby 6 months ago and nobody ever mentioned it during baby u/s even when I asked. Did it disappear?
Possibly: A 1cm paraovarian cyst is not clinically relevant and is nothing to worry about. It may well have disappeared on its own ...Read more
If u/s report says that there is a "1 CM paraovarian cyst", does this mean it's a simple cyst? Would they have mentioned other concerning features?
Could be: Most small cysts of the ovary and surrounding the ovary are benign. The critical aspect would be to see if the cyst grows over time. If it grew substantially, or if it acquired more solid areas, there may be a need to have it removed. I would discuss the situation with your obgyn. ...Read more
My dr never told me I have a <1cm paraovarian cyst. I asked her after seeing u/s report myself. She said it was inconsequential. Why didn't she tell me?
Likely benign: It is almost certainly benign. Being so small and fairly common is probably why she did not mention it to you. ...Read more

I have total correction of tetralogy of phallot and paraovarian cyst. I becoming fatty to fattest although not taking much food. What I do now?
See your doctor: You should be evaluated by your physician. Thyroid problems can cause the kinds of symptoms you are having but sometimes it's because you are eating more calories than your body needs. I would suggest logging everything you eat for a week and take it to your doctor's visit. The daily plate is a good calorie tracker website http://www. Livestrong. Com/thedailyplate/. ...Read more
I have a paraovarian cyst that has a mural echcogenic nodule, is this serious? It's about 2cm and the nodule is 7mm.
Keep an eye on it:
The possibility (differential diagnosis) and clinical implications for ovarian cysts change with a woman's age. For someone young the nodule is more likely benign (like part of a dermoid cyst) than when someone is older where such a nodule can make it more worrisome for cancer, though nothing is 100%.
Also, the size of the cyst (if >4-5cm) can be associated with torsion (surgical emergency) ...Read more

1cm paraovarian cyst on impressions from pelvic u/s.Dr did u/s in office and said he didn't see it 7 months later. Why?
I had an paraovarian cyst removed this year in september and yesterday when I had sex for the first time after my surgery it was very painful. Worried?
Check with MD: You need to check with your md to be certain that the cyst has not returned via sonography. Painful sex in the absence of the cyst may be fear of pain, so make sure that everything is O.K. First then address the emotional fear by being "ready" for sex before actual intercourse takes place with penetration. ...Read more
27 years old and have a 3.4 cm paraovarian cyst with free pelvic fluid observed on MRI. Should I be worried?
Not yet: The cyst may be leaking or ruptured already, and at 3.4 centimeters, is barely over 1 inch in diameter. If the cyst grows or pain ensues then concern is well founded. ...Read more

I was diagnosed with a 5cm simple paraovarian cyst. My Gyn doctor gave me the option to leave it alone or get surgery? Is there any other option? Help
Agree with options: I would agree with your options presented by your doctor. Ther is no medicine or alternative treatment for this type of cyst. If it is not symptomatic then surgery is not needed acutely. You can opt to just observe it for now. If at some point it begins to cause pain, then surgery may be indicated. Good luck! ...Read more
I have a paraovarian cyst, lab shows high wbc. High eosinophils, hemglbin a little low diagnosed with hypothyroidism. What could be causing all this?
Not likely your cyst: Apparently your cyst is non-functional, so unless there is infection, it should not be causing your readings. Eosinophils can mean a parasitic infection or allergic reaction, while high WBC can mean an infection. Your low hb can be from blood loss or renal issue, and hypothyroid can have many causes. You may have one or many causes for this, but you need more tests so see your dr. For a workup. ...Read more
1 CM paraovarian cyst appeared after pregnancy. Was not seen on u/s before pregnancy. How did this happen? Dr said fine, no f/u needed.
Paraovarian cyst: Ovarian cysts can come and go but paraovarian cysts are thought to be embryological remnants and would have been present prior to your pregnancy. It may have been missed on the prior u/s, but in general paraovarian cysts are inconsequential incidental findings. Follow-up u/s recommendations are the same for ovarian and paraovarian cysts and are only indicated for cysts > 5cm prior to menopause. ...Read more
U/s showed 1 CM paraovarian cyst that wasn't there a year ago. U/s done at different places. Could this have been caused by my pregnancy?
Not from pregnancy: Para ovarian cysts are quite common and are embryonic remnants. They are not caused by pregnancy and are typically not significant. It probably has been there awhile, just hasn't been seen before. At 1cm, your gyn should do no more then follow this yearly. Best of luck to you! ...Read more
