I have MS like symptoms for 6 months.Neuro thinks it's anxiety and gave me cymbalta (duloxetine).It took 80% of pain away.Im no anxious or depressed.I need a cure?

Depends: I've used Buspar (buspirone) for patients with anxiety with varying success. Typically it's used as a regularly scheduled medication 3x a day & I've found success with this. Rarely I have used it on an as needed basis & found a few patients who have responded well. It's less potent than Xanax/Ativan but those also comes with less risk for abuse. Yes.: Cymbalta (duloxetine) is used for major depression especially when associated with chronic pain. The maximum dosage is 120 mg. It does help with anxiety when associated with depression with dosages as low as 30 mg.
