Can swine flu be cured by tinospora?

Can swine flu be cured by tinospora?

Helped yes, cured???: Tinospora is an interesting compound. It has many immune stimulating properties, which is how it likely helps with swine flu. Has tinospora ever been used to treat multiple myeloma or be used at the same time as other multiple myeloma treatment?

Maybe no data?: Never heard of tinospora until your question. I saw a scattering of mentions on an internet search, but no real data. A recent august 2011 review on tinospora in various conditions (not myeloma) is here: http://www.Lahey.Org/departments_and_locations/departments/cancer_center/ebsco_content/multiple_myeloma.Aspx?Chunkiid=111811. ...Read more

Will any of the substances, turmeric, fenugreek, and giloy (Tinospora cordifolia) help protect against the loss of bone mass ?

Voodoo snake oil: Hi. No. You're right about at peak bone mass in life at age 29. Get enough dietary calcium and vitamin D (that will probably require supplements). You can buy that herbal junk, but you're just enriching the snake oil salespeople. Also for skeletal health, get weight-bearing exercise, and don't smoke. Good luck! ...Read more

Should i consume tinospora cardifolia concentrate, as in 2010 i was diagnosed with itp and vitamin B12 deficiency? Does the herb has side effects?

ITP: You really should discuss this with your hematologist who treated your itp and/or whomever follows you for this condition. I cannot personally recommend you to take an "herbal concentrate" since it is not monitored by the fda and side effects have been reported. ...Read more

Anyone know what is a healthy amount of iodine a 48 year old woman suppose to have in her daily diet?

Iodine per day: Iodine is underrated as a nutrient. I recommend several miligrams (mg.) per day. That's several thousand micrograms (mcg). A good serving of seaweed can contain about 4mg or 4, 000 mcg. I would not advise more than 5mg per day. ...Read more

Big breakfasts: The latest research out of israel shows that when total calories are kept the same, it is better to shift more of the calories consumed to breakfast, which can include both proteins and carbohydrates. Another recent study showed it is better to eat more earlier than later so breakfast would seem to win. ...Read more

What is a healthy diet to follow daily?

Same as everywhere: Eliminate juices, sodas, or other sweet drinks. Drink water. Don't eat fried foods (chicken nuggets, french fries etc). Watch the sugar content in cereals and snacks. Serve few starches, including breads, pastas, and (white) grains. Add more vegetables and fruits, but not too many fruits because of all the sugar they contain. In short, eat an organic, whole grain, no added sugar diet. ...Read more
